The meaning of Qasr Al Watan is Palace of the Nation.  Qasr Al Watan is a symbol of the political, cultural and intellectual legacy of UAE. Qasr Al Watan was designed as an active government building which is serving as the official meeting place for the UAE Cabinet, the Federal Supreme Council and hosting state visits. The construction of Qasr Al Watan was completed in 2017 and it was officially opened to the public on March 11, 2019 under the vision of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan who was the late President of the UAE. The decision to open doors of Qasr Al Watan was part of the commitment of UAE to transparency, cultural exchange and education. ·         Getting to Qasr Al Watan: Qasr Al Watan is located within the Presidential Palace compound in Abu Dhabi which is approximately 20 minutes drive from Abu Dhabi city center and 90 minutes drive from Dubai.

If you are coming through car then free parking is available at the Visitor Centre and then followed by a shuttle bus ride to the palace.

Taxi and ride hailing apps like Uber and Creem are easily accessible via Abu Dhabi and considered the most convenient way to visit Qasr Al Watan.

You can take public buses that run from Abu Dhabi city center to the palace with stops nearby.

You can also opt for city tour bus because many city sightseeing bus tours include Qasr Al Watan as a stop on their routes.
