​The Dubai Autodrome is a premier motorsport facility located in Dubai land Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Since its inauguration in 2004 it has played a pivotal role in establishing the presence of UAE in the global motorsport arena. In the early 2000s Union Properties envisioned to create a state of the art motorsport facility to cater to enthusiasts and professionals alike. The project was designed by Clive Bowen of Apex Circuit Design aiming to host international events and nurture local talent through comprehensive racing schools and driving experiences. Construction of the Dubai Autodrome commenced in 2002 and the facility officially opening in October 2004. The inaugural event was the final round of the LG Super Racing Weekend featuring prestigious races such as the FIA GT Championship, European Touring Car Championship and the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup. ​The Autodrome was the first operational component of the larger Dubai Motor City development which is a mixed use complex combining residential, commercial and leisure facilities centered around a motorsport theme. This integration aimed to create a holistic environment for motorsport enthusiasts by providing both living spaces and entertainment options.

The circuit spans 5.39 kilometers and was designed with multiple configurations to accommodate various racing disciplines. It holds an FIA Grade 1 license which indicate its capability to host top tier motorsport events including Formula One races. The design emphasizes safety and versatility by featuring wide run off areas and multiple circuit layouts. The Dubai Autodrome has significantly contributed to shaping the motorsport legacy of UAE. It has hosted numerous international events, including the A1 Grand Prix in 2005 and the annual 24H Dubai endurance race since 2006. The facility also supports local motorsport initiatives by promoting grassroots racing and providing a platform for emerging talent. ​Over the years the Autodrome has evolved to include additional facilities such as the Kartdrome which offers both indoor and outdoor karting experiences and the Motorsport Business Park which houses motorsport related businesses. These developments have reinforced its status as a comprehensive motorsport hub to attract visitors and professionals worldwide.​

Major Events Hosted

·        Dubai 24 Hour: Initiated in 2006 the Dubai 24 Hour is an annual endurance race that attracts both professional and semi professional teams from around the world. The event features a diverse grid of GT3 spec cars, GT4 spec cars, sports cars, 24H-Specials like silhouette cars, TCR Touring Cars, TCX cars and TC cars. The 2023–24 Middle East Trophy was presented by Creventic, included the Dubai 24 Hour as its season finale underscoring the event`s prominence in the endurance racing calendar. ​

·        Asian Le Mans Series: The Asian Le Mans Series has incorporated the 4 Hours of Dubai into its championship rounds bringing high profile endurance racing to the Middle East. The 2024 edition held between 2 and 4 February 2024, was the third round of the 2023-24 Asian Le Mans Series season featuring a competitive field of prototypes and GT cars. ​

·        Formula Trophy UAE: The inaugural season of the Formula Trophy UAE took place in 2024 with the Dubai Autodrome hosting the opening round on 30 November 2024. This series regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations aims to develop young driving talent in the region providing a platform for aspiring racers to compete in a professional environment. ​

·        FIA GT Championship: In its early years the Dubai Autodrome hosted rounds of the FIA GT Championship from 2004 to 2006 featuring high performance GT cars and renowned international teams.

·        GP2 Asia Series: The circuit was part of the GP2 Asia Series calendar in 2008 serving as a support series to Formula One and showcasing emerging talent in single seater racing. ​

·        A1 Grand Prix: The A1 Grand Prix known as the World Cup of Motorsport  was held a round at the Dubai Autodrome in 2005 featuring national teams competing in identical cars, emphasizing driver skill. ​
